Be Proactive

In life, we want to be proactive rather than reactive.

Add healthy snacks to your pantry and refrigerator so that when emotional eating comes your way, you are prepared to choose healthy food that will nourish your mind and body.

Be proactive by planning beforehand what to eat. This will focus your attention on good food that can help you feel good. Most fruits (banana, apple, pear) can help boost your mood in times of stress, loneliness or boredom.

Here are our favourite healthy snacks to stock up on:

· Apple

· Avocado

· Celery sticks

· Medjool dates

· Hard-boiled eggs

· Baked sweet potato

· PANA dark chocolate

· Raw or stewed pears

· Raw or soaked almonds

· Cucumbers with a dash of salt

· Fresh raspberries and strawberries

· Raw carrots or freshly squeezed carrot juice

· Herbal teas of peppermint, cinnamon or aniseed

· Seed crackers (Olina’s, Carmen’s or Mary’s Gone) with labne

· Greek (plain, whole) yoghurt with crushed almonds, cinnamon and raw honey

How will you be proactive today?
