Lapses are inevitable.
Who has been on a diet and not messed up? No one! Everyone lapses. This is normal.
When you are on a healthy diet, expect lapses and prepare for them.
Everyone will, on occasion, eat tempting food or overeat on a diet.
Developing problem solving skills and coping skills is essential in a diet. You want to minimise high-risk situations where you are likely to relapse.
View each mistake on a diet as a learning opportunity, not a personal failure.
The key is to pick yourself back up and not let that slip become a slide.
